Welsh Guidance

Monday 09th November
Cadwaladers store open

We are pleased to announce that some of our Welsh stores are opening today on the 9th November after the Welsh Firebreak Lockdown. We are following the updated November 2020 Welsh Government guidance. This allows us to continue to ensure our stores have the highest levels of hygiene and Covid secure protocols, so your visits are safe and relaxing.

Store Updates

Stores that will be opening and providing take-away and sit-in services are the following;

  • Criccieth, Betws-y-Coed, Tenby, Porthcawl, Barry Island, Mermaid Quay.
  • Our Red Dragon Centre and Porthmadog stores are currently closed.
  • Our Trentham Gardens store in Stoke-on Trent will be open for Takeaways only.

Store Guidance in Wales

In addition to our Covid policy and procedures, we have also updated and implemented the following Welsh guidance.

  1. We will only accept groups of 4 customers at maximum (excludes under age 11) from different households.
  2. There is no limit to groups of customers if from the same household.
  3. We must now take customer details on our own QR code or manually if the customer is unable to complete themselves. This is for our company’s records. The NHS app is still available for customers to use but is in addition to our company records.
  4. We will verify identification for all adult customers when overseeing track and trace, this can be credit/debit card or driving license, among others.
  5. We will have a nominated “COVID secure monitor” – this is a member of staff allocated to the responsibility of overseeing our Covid procedures.

PLEASE NOTE: We are continuing to enforce the wearing of face masks, social distancing, contactless payments, supplying staff with relevant PPE and table service in store. We have carried out thorough risk assessments for the safety of customers and our staff. We are part of the Governments Good to Go scheme and all our stores hold a Level 5 Environmental Health Certificate.
